What you get
- Play offline. A full game against AI opponents with no signal — on a plane, in a basement, anywhere.
- Play online with friends. Make a table, share the code, and deal your family in from four different states.
- The rules your table actually plays. Called Ace or Jack of Diamonds, leasters, cracking, blitzing, doublers, 3-, 4- and 5-handed.
- Hand replay. Go back through a hand and see exactly where it turned.
- Provably fair deals. Every shuffle can be verified — nothing is stacked against you.
On Android?
The Play Store version is in the works. In the meantime the web version at playsheepshead.org/play runs in your phone’s browser — same game, same account, nothing to install. You can add it to your home screen and it behaves like an app.
On a laptop or desktop?
It runs full-screen in any browser, with no download. Your account, rating and stats are the same everywhere — start a game on your phone and finish it on a laptop.
Is it really free?
Yes. There is nothing to buy to win, and you don’t need an account to start playing — a guest can sit down and deal. If you want a rating, friends and saved stats, making an account takes a few seconds.

Start with the rules, then the beginner walkthrough. You can practise against AI in the app until picking and burying feel natural — nobody at the table has to wait for you.
