Bury
Definition
After picking up the blind, the picker must discard ("bury") 2 cards face-down. These count toward the picker's team's points.
Bury in play
Burying is your one chance to reshape your hand before play, and the two cards you set down still score for your team, so good pickers bury point-rich cards (Aces and Tens) they cannot otherwise protect. Just as important is creating a void: bury your last card of a fail suit and you can trump in when that suit is later led. Note you cannot bury the called Ace, and many house rules also forbid burying the last card of the called suit.
