Crack (Doubling)
Definition
A variant where defenders can "crack" to double the stakes after someone picks. The picker can then "re-crack" to double again.
Crack (Doubling) in play
A crack is the defenders' way of doubling the stakes: after someone picks, a defender calls crack to declare they think the picker will fall short of 61. The picker or partner can fire back a re-crack to double again, and aggressive tables allow further escalation. Cracking is a read on strength as much as a wager, so timing and your table image both matter.
