Variant Rule

Stick the Dealer

Definition

A Forced Pick variant where, if every other player passes, the dealer is "stuck" with the blind and must pick. Eliminates Leasters entirely and rewards aggressive picking from the seats to the dealer's left.

Stick the Dealer in play

Stick-the-dealer is a forced-pick rule aimed squarely at the dealer: if everyone passes, the dealer is stuck and must pick, however bad the hand. It abolishes Leasters and quietly pressures the dealer's opponents to pass marginal hands into the dealer's lap, while pushing the dealer to value-bury and scrape 61 out of junk.

Example

β€œYou're dealing, the table passes around to you, and you're stuck β€” even with a bad hand you must pick.”
